Our Story
Custom Woodworking Servicing the entire Treasure Valley including Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Star, Eagle, Middleton, Kuna, and other local Idaho communities.
Growing up in California in the 1970s, I was immersed in woodworking from an early age. My brother and I would mimic our father, a wood framer, by hammering nails into boards. This early exposure sparked my lifelong passion for woodworking. After high school, I landed a job at a log home manufacturing company in Meridian, Idaho, where I learned the intricacies of turning raw logs into beautiful finished wood materials. I traveled across the US, Canada, and even to Australia, Cyprus, and Estonia, building dream homes and further honing my skills.
After 21 years in the log home industry, I transitioned to owning a cedar patio furniture business, thanks to my wife’s encouragement. Initially hesitant, I quickly fell in love with the craft and purchased the entire business, including the equipment. This venture expanded my woodworking expertise and allowed me to add my unique touch to the furniture.
In 2022, I spent over a year in a cabinet shop, refining my skills and eventually becoming the custom accessory fabricator, creating specialty kitchen cabinets, built-in bookcases, and range hoods. While I continue to build outdoor furniture, my business has evolved to focus on custom projects, from crafting a 5-foot round dining table from Padauk wood to designing outdoor kitchens with fully wrapped cabinets under timber-framed pergolas.
My latest additions, a CNC router table and a laser engraver, have opened new possibilities. I now design and produce personalized charcuterie boards, cutting boards, jewelry boxes, cribbage boards, and various other custom requests using a wide selection of wood species.
My wife and I own a small farm where we raise rabbits, goats, chickens, and more. We offer farm-fresh rabbit meat, eggs, and a variety of other products for sale. For more information, visit our website at landolyonsfarm.com.
I now call Cadwell, Idaho my home and my passion for woodworking has grown stronger over the years, and I look forward to continuing this journey for the rest of my life.
